I sit and watch and watch and sit. The clock winds up without a tick. The empty shadows creep to death. It makes me sick. So sick.

The men came like just in that dream. When words fell back without a scream. A man’s prayers had left his lips. When a bullet whipped it up like cream.

Through hours lost and memories torn from its tender womb never born. There crouched a child in that dream who lay faceless with no limb and form.

His hand lay torn on another side, clutching something before he died. A shiny lollipop that once was white. Now covered with remnants of his hide.

The children of a lesser god. Blown to bits by religious fraud. Could someone end this wicked dream? I’m still buried under this unholy sod.

I look around and see the hate in people’s eyes,
The air is filled with the innocents’ cries,
Give me the strength to make sense of it all
As I lift the veil and break down the wall.

Black is white and white is black,
The red of my blood not yet dry.
A stench of lies has filled the air,
And I will question, why.

What sorrows befall a nation forever torn
In the hope of a revolution waiting to be born.
May it come swiftly and stand tall
As I lift the veil and break down the wall.

In your fear is the seed of courage,
In your sorrow, a ray of joy.
It takes only a grain of love
For hate to be destroyed.

So hold your head high and keep on the debate
Cuz water that flows does not stagnate.
O my Friends, hear me when I call
